The maintenance guide was clear and actually helped me figure out how to take better care of my knife. I just feel like a few more pictures would’ve made it even easier to follow, you know?

I bought a knife from sugimotousa.com and, i’m disappointed. It felt great at first and the edge seemed sharp out of the box, but after just regular prep work it started dulling way faster than I expected. I’m not chopping through bones or doing anything rough with it, just normal kitchen use. For what I paid, I really thought the edge would hold up a lot better. Having to sharpen it that soon was frustrating, and overall I’m just not very happy with it.

I was able to find what I needed eventually, but it took a bit more clicking around than I expected. The menu isn’t terrible, it just felt a little unclear when I was browsing on my phone.

Checkout went through fine in the end, but some pages loaded slower than I’d like and the product details seemed kind of spread out. Overall it wasn’t a bad experience, just felt like it could be smoother somehow...

I was not prepared for how many choices they had on Sugimoto USA. I went in expecting maybe a small handful of options, and suddenly I’m comparing all these different things like I’m making some huge life decision. The site was easy to browse though, so it didn’t feel overwhelming or annoying. I found what I needed quickly, and I’d definitely shop here again

"Super quick response"
I sent a message to support and expected to wait a while, but they got back to me really fast. I was checking my email while drinking coffee at my kitchen table, and the reply popped up almost right away. They answered my question clearly and got it sorted without any back and forth. Easy experience overall.

"Not as sharp as I hoped"
I was disappointed with this knife. I ordered it from sugimotousa.com expecting it to be sharp and ready to use, but right out of the box it didn’t cut nearly as well as I thought it would. It struggled with some basic prep, and I ended up having to sharpen it myself almost immediately. For the price, I really expected a better first impression.

I really like their stuff, but of course the one item I wanted was sold out again right when I was ready to buy it. It feels like my timing is always terrible with this place. I just wish they kept more sizes in stock so I didn’t have to keep checking back.

"A Knife That’s Survived My Kitchen Battles"
I picked up one of their knives a few months back, it’s been through the daily chaos of my kitchen like a champ. The steel feels really solid, holds an edge well, and when it does need a touch-up, it sharpens back without making a whole ordeal out of it. It’s not absolutely flawless, the patina showed up a little more than I expected, but that seems normal with this kind of steel. Overall, I’m happy with it and it’s definitely earned its place on the counter.

"Shipping took longer than I hoped"
I ordered from sugimotousa.com and the product itself was totally fine, so no complaints there. The shipping just took way longer than I expected, and I didn’t really get many clear updates while I was waiting, which was a little annoying, though I get that stuff can happen.

I was hoping to have it sooner, so the delay was frustrating, but it wasn’t some terrible experience or anything. I’d probably only order again if I wasn’t in a rush, since the delivery speed made me a bit hesitant.
